Mobile Web – News – 6-year-old Farmington Hills girl plans bike-a-thon for multiple sclerosis society

“When 6-year-old Amelia Nordhaus holds her second annual Bike-a-Thon for Multiple Sclerosis on Sunday, May 6, some participants will be pushed by an adult.

Some will be on tricycles. Some, like Amelia, will have training wheels on their bikes.

All will be doing their part to help find a cure for MS.

The event will be held at 4 p.m. at Kenbrook Elementary School, 32130 Bonnet Hill Road in Farmington Hills. It is geared to children age 9 and younger.

It was Amelia’s idea to organize the fundraiser last year to help her mom, Tanya,”

A very special thank you to Amelia Nordhaus, who at just six years old is showing many including adults how to help others.

Amelia’s Bike-A-Thon last year raised more than $1,600 for the National MS Society.
