MS Paths

Path

Each person’s path with Multiple Sclerosis is different. While they may share some of the same symptoms the combination is different for each person. Examples:

  • One person is blind in their right eye, they also have extreme tingling in both feet.
  • A second person has bladder and speech issues.
  • Person number 3 has a numb left arm, and hand, along with vertigo.
  • The fourth person is paralyzed.

Add to this there are 4 different types of Multiple Sclerosis.

  • Relapsing-Remitting MS (Most Common)
  • Progressive Relapsing MS (Rarest)
  • Primary Progressive MS
  • Secondary Progressive MS.

Due to the number of different types of symptoms MS can mimic other diseases.

  • Lyme Disease
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Lupus
  • Sjogren’s Syndrome
  • Vitamin B-12 Deficiency
  • Stroke
  • Brain Tumor
  • Many More . . .

This makes it difficult for doctors come up with a diagnosis.

Once a diagnosis is made then the issue becomes trying to find which medication will work the best to manage it.

Finally, the next challenge which is an ongoing problem is treating all the symptoms.
